Known here in Vichy France as Our Lady of Vichy. Our Lady of the Sick. Our Blessed Virgin Mary. The Virgin who Grants Quickly. The Black Madonna.

NUNS prepared the space for prayer, which I capture here; then an hour of silence. The sound of their voices so healing, soothing, calming and pleasing.

So much to see and listen to. Lovely silences.

JESUS. CHRIST. How powerful and wonderful.

This is the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Vichy since 17th century. The 6 pillars are from the 12th century. The four guided wooden images represent: St Anne, St Christopher, St John the Baptist and St Francis-Xavier.

St Blaise, an Armenian who studied medicine, is the Patron Saint of the Church. (316)

August 15 we honour the Blessed Virgin Mary with a procession throughout the city.
